Spoke to a candidate not too long ago and I asked him why he applied for our job posting. He replied, “I don’t remember, I have sent out so many resumes I don’t know which job you are calling me about”. Not a great way to start your application process. #JobSeekers, you must stay organized and on top of all the jobs you have applied for, are interviewing, waiting on a decision, etc. Use an Excel sheet, a whiteboard, your digital planner, etc. Something. You need to stay on top of all the applications you have on the go and be ready to speak with knowledge on each one if and when you get a call.
