Networking. We all know we need to do it when looking for a new career, prospecting for sales, pitching business ideas, etc. The key to effective networking is continuously “working” your network by staying in touch, engaging them and giving.

Make it a habit to:

  • Contact your network connections regularly.
  • Meet in person.
  • Get updates on what they have going on in their life both professionally and personally.
  • Update them on changes and plans you have.
  • Listen.
  • Help them by making intros, partnering, giving advice, etc.
